AppleRecords.com

Launched by The Beatles in 1968, as the new outlet for their own recordings as well as the music of an eclectic roster of artists, Apple Records made popular music history from the very moment it opened its doors.

Four decades later, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music raise the curtain on remastered CD and digital download releases of 15 key albums from the Apple Records catalogue.

We have launched AppleRecords.com - a site dedicated to the artists that recorded on the Apple label. The site features the remastered Apple Artists' music, exclusive videos, photography and memorabilia from the label.

You can also watch "The Story of Apple Records" at AppleRecords.com - cut into three episodes, the film features Peter Asher, who was Head of Apple A+R, as he recounts the days when The Beatles produced the music in this unique set of albums. The film features incredible footage from the Apple archives and video clips of the artists that were signed to the label.

The Apple Records Story

All 15 titles are available on Amazon and iTunes. Most of the CDs include bonus material. Together, the 15 albums represent the first ever Apple Records releases to be available via digital download.

Come And Get It: The Best of Apple Records

First commercial multi-artist compilation in Apple's history
set for release on October 25th 2010

'The Radha Krishna Temple' Added to Historic Release of
Original Apple Albums from 1968 to 1973 - Remastered CDs and
Apple's First Digital Downloads Due October 25th 2010

CD Bonus Tracks and Digital Download Extras Now Announced

The dazzling range of music originally issued by Apple Records between
1968 and 1973, which is now the subject of an unprecedented multi-album
worldwide campaign starting October 25th - including remastered
CDs (with bonus material revealed for the first time below) and
Apple's first digital downloads - will now be augmented by
two additional titles: 'Come and Get It: The Best Of Apple
Records,' the first commercially issued multi-artist compilation
in the label's history; and 'The Radha Krishna
Temple,' the self-titled album of devotional music produced by
George Harrison.

'Come and Get It: The Best Of Apple Records,' a 21 track
compilation of singles, ranging from the folk-rooted tunes of Mary
Hopkin and James Taylor, and the energetic rock of Badfinger (also The
Iveys) and Jackie Lomax, to the deep soul of Doris Troy and Billy
Preston, will also be released in the physical and digital marketplace
on October 25th 2010.

'Come and Get It' displays Apple's vibrant years of
musical experimentation in full flower, from bona fide hit singles to
the cult classics of the catalogue, as represented by brass band The
Black Dyke Mills Band, Cajun collective The Sundown Playboys, and more.
Hot Chocolate (as 'The Hot Chocolate Band') makes an
appearance, as does Ronnie Spector, Bill Elliot & The Elastic Oz Band,
Chris Hodge, Brute Force, and others.

Launched by The Beatles in 1968, Apple served as the new outlet for
their own recordings as well as the music of an eclectic roster of
artists who were all personally brought to the label by The Beatles
(individually and/or collectively). In the revolutionary spirit of the
times, Apple's utopian artist-orientated mission celebrated
diversity in a friendly creative environment. The result was a rainbow
spectrum of music, from folk, rock and soul to The Modern Jazz Quartet
and the work of contemporary British classical composer John Tavener.

As Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music prepare for the upcoming 17 album CD
and digital download release, it is a reminder that the introduction of
an artist on The Beatles' record label was avidly followed by fans
across the universe - then and now. Each of the albums has been
digitally remastered at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London by the
same dedicated team of engineers behind The Beatles' recent
remastered catalogue releases of 2009.

Badfinger, Billy Preston, Mary Hopkin, James Taylor, and more

Apple Records catalogue remastered and reissued on CD and digital
download - Classics Set For Release on October 26th

Launched by The Beatles in 1968, as the new outlet for their own
recordings as well as the music of an eclectic roster of artists - James
Taylor, Badfinger, Billy Preston, Mary Hopkin, Doris Troy, and Jackie
Lomax among them - who were all personally brought to the label by The
Beatles (individually and/or collectively), Apple Records made popular
music history from the very moment it opened its doors.

Four decades later, Apple Corps Ltd. and EMI Music raise the curtain on
remastered CD and digital download releases of 15 key albums from the
Apple Records catalog. All 15 titles will be released on October 26th,
2010. Most of the physical CDs will include bonus material. Together,
the 15 albums represent the first ever Apple Records releases to be
available via digital download.

In the revolutionary spirit of 1968, The Beatles' explosive
musical output (characterised by their double-LP White Album) was only
exceeded by their fascination with what they saw and heard going on
around them. Five years into The Beatles' reign, Apple Records
afforded them the unique opportunity to sign new (and established)
artists who appealed to each of them. In turn, the introduction of an
artist on The Beatles' record label was an imprimatur taken very
seriously by fans across the universe.

Apple Records' utopian artist-orientated mission immediately set
it apart, as the first operation of its kind in the major-label sphere.
Diversity was celebrated, and artists were encouraged to record and
release their music in a friendly creative environment. Apple developed
a distinctive graphic aesthetic, from its legendary
'apple-core' logo to its advertising and merchandising, in
the process setting a subtle new benchmark for the industry to follow.

From 1968 to 1973, Apple Records bedazzled the world with a rainbow
spectrum of releases - and fans were unusually well-informed about
individual involvements of The Beatles with nearly every project.
1968's self-titled debut album by Boston-based singer-songwriter
James Taylor, for example, features Paul McCartney and George Harrison
on "Carolina In My Mind". Paul was instrumental in bringing
the Welsh chanteuse Mary Hopkin to Apple, and produced her debut single,
"Those Were The Days". Badfinger, also from Wales, was still
known as The Iveys when they recorded "Come And Get It",
written and produced by Paul (for The Magic Christian movie soundtrack).

The Beatles had been fans of Billy Preston ever since seeing him in
Little Richard's band in Hamburg in 1962. George went on to
produce and play on Preston's Apple debut, That's the Way
God Planned It. Harrison was one of the producers and played (along with
Ringo Starr) on Doris Troy's self-titled Apple album. George also
produced and played (with Paul and Ringo) on Jackie Lomax's debut
album, Is This What You Want? featuring the Harrison composition,
"Sour Milk Sea".

John was much taken with the music of The Modern Jazz Quartet, who
released the only two jazz albums in the Apple catalogue. Ringo was
intrigued by the music of contemporary British classical composer John
Tavener, and his Apple album, The Whale has become one of the most
sought-after Apple collectibles of all time.

Each of the 15 albums in this bumper batch of Apple Records releases has
been digitally remastered at EMI's Abbey Road Studios in London by
the same dedicated team of engineers behind The Beatles' recent
remastered catalogue releases of 2009.

John Lennon. Gimme Some Truth

Eight of John's classic solo albums and other standout recordings have
been digitally remastered from his original mixes for a global catalogue
initiative commemorating the music legend's 70th birthday, which falls
on October 9.

Overseen by Yoko Ono, John's "Gimme Some Truth" campaign
will launch on 4 October (5 October in North America) with the worldwide
release of eight remastered studio albums and several newly-compiled
titles...

Double Fantasy, 1980's GRAMMY Award winner for Album of the Year, will
be presented in a newly remixed "Stripped Down" version remixed and
produced by Yoko Ono and Jack Douglas, co-producers of the original mix
with John Lennon. The new stripped down version of the album comes in an
expanded 2CD and digital edition pairing the new version with Lennon's
original mix, remastered.

The campaign's other new collections include a hits compilation in two
editions titled "Power To The People: The Hits‚" a 4CD set of themed
discs titled "Gimme Some Truth"‚ a deluxe 11CD collectors box with the
remastered albums, rarities, and non-album singles, titled the John
Lennon Signature Box. All of the remastered albums and collections will
be available on CD and for download purchase from all major digital
service providers.

Yoko Ono said: "In this very special year, which would have seen my
husband and life partner John reach the age of 70, I hope that this
remastering / reissue programme will help bring his incredible music to
a whole new audience. By remastering 121 tracks spanning his solo
career, I hope also that those who are already familiar with John's work
will find renewed inspiration from his incredible gifts as a songwriter,
musician and vocalist and from his power as a commentator on the human
condition. His lyrics are as relevant today as they were when they were
first written and I can think of no more apposite title for this
campaign than those simple yet direct words "Gimme Some Truth".

Paul's New Single "(I Want To) Come Home" Out Now
This Golden Globe nominated track is taken from the Miramax film
'Everybody's Fine' starring Robert De Niro, Drew Barrymore and Kate
Beckinsale. Paul specially wrote and recorded the track after being
asked to by director Kirk Jones and seeing an early screening.

Talking about the writing process Paul explained, "When I saw the film
originally, I was just watching and enjoying it, when at the end I found
that the director had, unbeknown to me, put in the place where he wanted
the new song another song of mine: 'Let It Be' sung by Aretha Franklin.
I kind of left the theatre thinking well, I can't write another 'Let It
Be' and I can't sing like Aretha much as I want to, so I might have to
pass. But that evening, I came back from dinner and started doodling
with some chords and I had an idea and it all grew from there."

All Together Now is nominated for a GRAMMY Award

All Together Now, the documentary about the making of The Beatles and
Cirque du Soleil's The Beatles: LOVE, is nominated for a GRAMMY Award in
the Long Form Music Video category (Adrian Wills, video director; Martin
Bolduc & Jonathan Clyde, video producers).

All Together Now details the story behind the unique partnership between
The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil that resulted in the creation and 2006
launch of LOVE, the stage production still playing to packed houses at
The Mirage in Las Vegas. The film also documents the creation of the
show's music, the experimental Beatles soundscape album of the same name
which garnered two GRAMMY Awards for producers Sir George Martin and
Giles Martin in the categories of Compilation Soundtrack Album for
Motion Picture, Television or other Visual Medium and Surround Sound
Album.

The 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards will be presented Sunday, January 31, 2010
in Los Angeles.

The Film
All Together Now is a feature-length documentary chronicles the making
of The Beatles' LOVE by Cirque du Soleil. The film details the story
behind the unique partnership between The Beatles and Cirque du Soleil
that resulted in the creation and launch of LOVE and the double
Grammy-winning album of the same name. The film is dedicated to the
memory of Neil Aspinall, an Executive Producer.

All Together Now faithfully recounts how the LOVE project came into
being, borne from the personal friendship between George Harrison and
Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte. George saw how the twin talents
of Cirque's artistry and The Beatles' music could be fused into
something new and totally original.

The director, Adrian Wills, records early meetings between the Cirque &
Apple Corps Ltd. creative teams, as well as contributions from Sir Paul
McCartney, Ringo Starr, Yoko Ono Lennon and Olivia Harrison discussing
how The Beatles' music can be used in a different way. We hear about
the decision to utilize the combined talents of Sir George Martin and
his son Giles Martin to produce what became a 90-minute soundscape
created from The Beatles' multi-track recordings and how this new
audio adventure was being quietly worked on in the famous Abbey Road
Studios in London, England whilst the first creative ideas for the show
were being formulated in Montreal, Canada.

These early stages of the project were all filmed, as were the first
rehearsals at the Mirage Hotel theatre in Las Vegas, which was
completely rebuilt with a one-of-a-kind sound system and complex round
staging to house the LOVE show. George and Giles Martin, the show's
Musical Directors, were involved every step of the way with the
remarkable Cirque du Soleil creative team, performers and backroom
staff.

It wasn't all "plain-sailing" and there has been no attempt to disguise
some of the disagreements that took place along the way regarding how
some of the songs would be portrayed visually. These creative
differences, a necessary part of the overall process of bringing LOVEto
its most vibrant life, illustrate the participants' love and respect
for the music and vision of The Beatles.

The All Together Now documentary provides fascinating insight into the
creative skills and passion that went into making this project a
groundbreaking critical and commercial success.

Many thanks,

Ringo's new album "Y Not" now in stores!

For the first time ever, Ringo produces himself on his most personal
album yet. Ringo is joined on Y Not by old and new friends including
Paul, with whom Ringo sings on Y Not's stunning first single, "Walk With
You", a moving new song about the power of friendship.

NEWS RELEASE: For the first time in one of popular music's most enduring
and illustrious careers, Ringo has decided to take charge and produce
himself. The result is perhaps the most personal and impressive album of
this rock legend's entire solo career.

Y Not is a groovy and deeply felt song cycle that finds Ringo leading a
smaller core group of old and new friends including longtime pal and
recent brother-in-law Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart and longtime Roundheads
member Steve Dudas on guitar, Benmont Tench of Tom Petty and the
Heartbreakers on keyboards, Don Was and Mike Bradford on bass. The album
also features Starr's engineer and co-producer Bruce Sugar on keyboards,
as well as some special guests like Edgar Winter on horns and alto sax,
and Joss Stone, Ben Harper and Richard Marx on vocals, Ann Marie Calhoun
on violin and Tina Sugandh - aka Tina The Tabla Girl â€" on tabla and
chanting. Starr's songwriting collaborators on Y Not also include
familiar and new names like Joe Walsh, Dave Stewart. Joss Stone, Glen
Ballard, Richard Marx, Van Dyke Parks, Gary Nicholson plus Gary Wright
and his former Roundhead band member, Gary Burr.

Yet no collaborator featured on Y Not is likely to receive as much
attention as Starr's former bandmate and longstanding mate Paul, who
adds a characteristically brilliant bass part to the inspiring "Peace
Dream" - Starr's latest heartfelt plea for peace and love - and even
more notably provides his unmistakably fabulous vocals to "Walk With
You," an exquisite new composition by Starr and Van Dyke Parks.

"Walk With You" is a moving, even spiritual meditation about the lasting
power of friendship, and McCartney's inspired participation on the track
was a testament to McCartney's generosity of spirit and musical talent.
"Paul was doing the Grammys, so he came over to the house and was
playing bass on "Peace Dream." So I played him this other track and Paul
said, "Give me the headphones. Give me a pair of cans". And he went to
the mike and he just invented that part where he follows on my vocal.
That was all Paul McCartney, and there could be nothing better. He makes
it bigger and he makes it fuller. It makes the song like a conversation
between us, and that was Paul's idea to do his part one beat behind me.
That's why he's a genius and an incredible bass player."

Starr was already particularly thrilled with one early review for the
first album he produced that came from someone he helped produce too. "I
just played it for my son Zak," Starr explains. "And Zak was so great.
He said, "Dad, it's great. This rocks! You should have been doing this
forever. It's nice coming from your boy, especially since he's a really
good drummer."

Listen for yourself. And hear Ringo Starr - also a really good drummer -
doing exactly what he should be doing today and forever.

Why?, Y Not.
